Michael Rivers is an independent equity research consultant with over 16 years of investing experience. He has an excellent understanding of fundamental research, value investing, financial markets and economic cause and effect. Mike holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation - the global standard for measuring portfolio management and investment analysis competence and integrity. He also achieved a Masters in Business Administration in Technology Management in 1997. In addition, his work experience includes serving as an Equity Research Analyst for a large financial advisory practice in Colorado Springs where he conducted research and was responsible for constructing and rebalancing portfolios with aggregate assets over $50 million. After graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1992 with a BS in Space Operations, Mike became an officer, a GPS satellite navigation analyst and a C-26 pilot. He was stationed at Selfridge ANGB in Detroit, Michigan and Buckley AFB in Denver, Colorado. In his free time, he pursued a passionate interest in investing and stock research and left the Air Force in 2001. Mike’s other interests include: philosophy, economics, psychology, goal setting, science, technology, exercise, soccer, camping and reading. He is married to Jennifer Rivers and they have a beautiful and healthy new daughter, Vivian.
