Michael J. Williams, CFP®

Michael Williams is founder and president of ALTIUS Financial, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisory firm specializing in retirement planning and investment management for individuals, businesses and trusts committed to a secure future. He brings over two decades of experience and a wealth of knowledge and expertise of the financial planning and investment process.

Mike graduated with double major in Finance and Philosophy in 1984 from the University of Northern Colorado and taught Intro Philosophy and Ethics courses for UNC’s philosophy department. He earned his CFP designation in 1989 and CSA in 2004. He’s also attended numerous continuing education and leadership programs including The Strategic Coach, The Jefferson School of Philosophy, Economics and Psychology and Second Renaissance Conferences.

Mike worked as a CFP, District Manager and Asset Allocation Expert with American Express Financial Advisors from 1985-1994 and received numerous client service awards.

Frequently interviewed on KUSA 9News, Mike has been quoted on KOA’s business reports, the Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, Investment News, The Denver Business Journal and numerous other trade magazines.

His community interests are mainly in education and economic literacy, and he has served on the Academy of Finance Board as well as taught High School financial planning courses. Mike currently facilitates the Defenders of Capitalism program for the Leadership Program of the Rockies.
